For information associated with completed seminars, please 'click' on the seminar title (listed on this page). In some instances further material or contact details will be available if you contact the HEI committee by email.

HEI endeavours to provide a range of quality speakers to address current environmental issues of regional, state and national relevance.

Subjects have included:

  • Environmental investigations and management
  • Case studies and emerging issues
  • Legislation and legal updates

The objective of the seminars and special events is to bring high quality speakers to the group who can privide insights into the how's and why's of their area of special interest.  The seminar topics are programmed to be diverse, to broaden the understanding of how we are moving forward and what is driving other professionals in their work.

HEI endeavours to make our events available to all our members at a minimal cost with profits being used as rebates for attending members, or to fund other HEI initiatives. HEI will also promote events and symponiums on environmental issues relevant to the members.

Other Activities

HEI is closely associated with Greendrinks Newcastle (http://www.greendrinks.org//Newcastle) for extended social opportunities.

HEI organises trips to industrial and other sites of interest throughout the Hunter Region.

We also run special and extended events, where the topic may require more time and opportunity for greater depth.
