30th Anniversary Celebratory Cruise!

September 7, 2018 @ 3:45 pm - 6:00 pm

$60
  • « 30 years and the Hunter Estuary
  • Careers in the Environment »

SOLD OUT

Please join us for an afternoon cruise on the Hunter River to celebrate 30 years of the Hunter Environmental Institute.

Leaving from Lee Wharf Pontoon (Honeysuckle), the cruise will board at 3.45 with a strict 4.00pm departure time. We will see the sights of the working harbour and parts of the Hunter River Estuary, returning at 6.00pm. The cruise will be aboard Nova Cruises ‘MV Bay Connections1’. Cocktail food is included in the ticket price and a bar will operate separately.

Joining us will be Phil Reid (Environmental Advisor, Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group), Jackie Spiteri (Environmental Advisor, Port of Newcastle), Sherree Woodroffe (Safety, Health, Environment and Community Manager, Orica), Alan Stuart (Hunter Bird Observers Club) and Dr Andrea Griffin (University of Newcastle) who will provide commentary on key features of the port and estuary as we cruise by.

This is a rare opportunity for those working, studying or just generally interested in environmental fields to come together, network and more importantly celebrate being part of our industry. A big thanks to our sponsors for this event: Umwelt and GHD.

Tickets are limited, so get in early to ensure you don’t miss out!
