Hunter Estuary Cruise – SOLD OUT

After the success of our 2018 Hunter River cruise we’re hitting the water again – this time to see how far up the Hunter River we can go in a 3-hour round trip. Along the way we will take in the sights of Newcastle Port and the Hunter River Estuary. Joining us will be a spokesperson for the Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land Council, Pam Dean-Jones (Principal, Communities and Landscapes at Umwelt), Dr Christophe Tourenq (Regional Operations Officer, Dept. of Planning, Industry and Environment) who will provide commentary on key features of the estuary.

The cruise will leave from Lee Wharf Pontoon, adjacent to the Honeysuckle Hotel. Boarding will commence at 4:15pm with a strict 4:30 departure time. The cruise will be aboard Nova Cruises ‘MV Bay Connections 1’. Cocktail food is included in the ticket price and a bar will operate separately.

This is a rare opportunity to see parts of the Hunter Estuary that are only accessible by boat. Its also a great opportunity for those working, studying or just generally interested in environmental matters to come together and celebrate being part of our industry.
